About Me
Giancarlo is PMI member, PMP certified, and a Project Manager Practitioner. He has been working in the Communication Wire-line & Wireless industry for over 18 years and he is well experienced in managing projects in different international and national business contexts. During his recent experience in Cuba as a Program Manager, he ran several projects and led an internal team as well as third party providers and coordinated the factory activities in Italy.
Given to his process skills and technical experience, Giancarlo’s employers gave him the responsibility of running several start-up turnkey projects, among which were Timbrasil in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and the latest in Havana, Cuba. In Cuba, Giancarlo was in charge of a whole three-year consultancy contract to enhance the national operator’s network and IT organization department.
Giancarlo has also consulted for other overseas companies and he is a trainer for IIL - the International Institute for Learning - where he gives courses on project management certification and soft skills.
An active member of PMI Rome Italy chapter, he is currently involved in the PMI Community, attending congresses, volunteering and participating in Specific Interest Groups. He takes part, as developer, in the new version of the OPM3 - Organizational Project Management Maturity Model, the PMI’s Capability Maturity Model standard which will be available on the market soon.
Giancarlo has given numerous talks on various project management topics for PMI, IPMA, and IBM.
